After driving round and round, like chickens with no heads, we found each other at this place that Bimbo recommended.  It was a fancy joint facing the Long Beach harbour with some blues band playing songs most of us never heard before.  We didn't mind the people around us, not even that chick with killer legs and overwhelming butt--she must have gone back and forth to the buffet ten times.  We engaged ourselves in animated conversation from 8:30 p.m. to 12 midnight. 

We continued to Denny's at Norwalk 'till 2 a.m. after that other place chased us out with broomsticks and garlic necklaces.  Time wasn't enough to drain us out of our thirst for verbal (oral) joust but lifetime wasn't immortal and we all had to let go. Daylight cometh and time to go!
